Applications are now open for the foundation’s 2026 scholarship cohort — the largest in our history, with 56 places for children who have the ability but not the means.
Every January, the same quiet tragedy repeats across Malawi: children who topped their classes in December don’t return in the new term. Not because they failed — because their families couldn’t pay.
The foundation’s scholarship program exists to interrupt that story. And this year, we’re interrupting it 56 times.
What the scholarship covers
Each scholarship is comprehensive: school fees, uniform, shoes, learning materials and examination costs. Just as importantly, every recipient is paired with a mentor who follows their progress term by term, and the scholarship renews for every year the student remains in school — from primary through secondary, and for the strongest performers, on to university.

Who can apply
The program prioritises orphaned and vulnerable children, children from households unable to meet school costs, and girls at risk of dropping out. Selection is based on demonstrated ability, genuine need and the recommendation of the child’s school.

Application forms are available at partner schools in Mchinji district and directly from the foundation office in Kapiri. Completed forms, together with a recommendation letter from the head teacher, should reach the foundation by the published deadline.
